The passing of friends…

I am sad to announce that Marla Singer died this morning.  She was approximately 2 years old.  I adopted her one year and 10 days ago.  She is survived by her boyfriend Onslow.

Marla will be missed.

I am also sad to announce that Ratsputin has passed as well.  Though Marla and Ratsputin never met, I am sure they would have been good friends.

Tilt-Shift Phaked Photos

Tom’s Tilt-Shift Photos

Tilt-shift photographs are pictures taken with what would traditionally be considered a broken lens.  The film plate is not perpendicular to the light coming in from the lens and creates an artificially narrow depth of field.  This technique was used in Thom Yorke’s video for “Harrowdown Hill”.
