Tilt-Shift Phaked Photos
Tilt-shift photographs are pictures taken with what would traditionally be considered a broken lens. The film plate is not perpendicular to the light coming in from the lens and creates an artificially narrow depth of field. This technique was used in Thom Yorke’s video for “Harrowdown Hill”.
I have been seeing this type of photography around a bit recently and I decided to try and emulate in photoshop. This isn’t a fresh angle with this heavily used technique, just adding my (and some of Laura’s) pictures to the heap (without giving my pictures to Flickr).
Of course, it would be really fun to do this with an actually camera, but I’m too poor for this awesome gadget, let alone a real SLR camera to do it with.
